Shalisa Pouw is a Colorado native and has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years. A former Denver Nuggets Dancer, Shalisa has spent most of her career in dance and pilates based group fitness. She co-owned and operated a Pure Barre franchise in Boulder for 7 years and worked in the company’s corporate office to help develop technique and train teachers. After selling her studio in 2017, Shalisa decided to bring her teaching experience into the spin studio where she taught for Rush Cycle and eventually became a master teacher trainer.
After taking a brief hiatus to have her baby, Kai, Shalisa decided to move into personal training and joined the team at Vital Training Systems! She is now putting her focus into training clients (specifically pre- and postnatal), and helping to develop the group conditioning and striking programs at VTS.
Outside of the gym, you can find Shalisa spending time with her family and producing large food festivals around town! She takes a balanced approach to fitness, understanding that life gets busy and time spent in the gym should be efficient, effective and fun!
